OSRUI Staff: Heroes

While firefighters rushed to the scene to extinguish a fire in downtown Oconomowoc last week, some unspoken heroes saved lives. Several OSRUI staff members on a day off leaped into action when they saw smoke coming from a nearby building, alerting people to evacuate, holding ladders and even tending to a wounded man. A Model for Jewish America

This Fourth of July was a "soulful expression of the heart across all religious lines" as participants from an Orthodox Jewish camp joined Reform campers at Jacobs for an Americafest parade, inflatable obstacle course and fireworks show. For campers from both movements, it may have even been "the highlight of the summer." Read more

Creating Community 
URJ 6 Points Sports Academy

After the second Havdallah of the session, everyone at 6 Points goes to the lake, puts a floating candle into the water and makes a wish. Director Randy Colman sees more than simple tradition in this act: "We are like these candles, and the lake is camp. NFTY in Israel

Chaperones Rabbi Elliott Kleinman and Rabbi Eve Rudin have joined three groups of NFTY in Israel teens in Europe for the trip of a lifetime!
