Make an Impact on Israel's Future, Today!
May. 2, 2011
100 outstanding North American college graduates will be selected to close the achievement gap in Israel’s education system through volunteering as English teachers’ aides in schools throughout Israel.

If you're a college graduate looking for a meaningful (and affordable!) experience in Israel, we're thrilled to share details on a unique new offering from Masa Israel Journey and the Israeli Ministry of Education.

Israel Teaching Fellows is a new ten month Program (August-June) for college graduates between the ages of 21-30. Highly subsidized, the total cost of the program is just $1,000 including flight and accommodations. A monthly stipend for food will also be provided.

If you're motivated to serve, dedicated to bridging educational gaps, and a qualified leader, this program will give you the chance to work on the ground in Israel, providing much needed assistance in underprivileged and under-served communities. All participants will take part in a month-long pedagogical training program, after which you'll be placed in schools as English Teacher's Aides. This program is a unique and thrilling chance to make a difference in the individual lives of Israeli students in need.

To complement the teaching program, participants will live together in communities of 20-25 throughout Israel and will take part in an additional volunteer project to directly benefit the communities served. A Hebrew Ulpan and extensive travel throughout Israel are part of the program, which also provides local support staff, optional host families and ongoing teacher training.
